SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurorehabilitation, it can be used in the restoration of cognitive functions in patients with focal brain lesions. The patient performs the specified exercises in the brain-computer interface (BCI) environment on the P300 wave using the neuro-communication complex “NeuroChat”, equipped with an EEG recording headset. Each therapeutic session consists of two stages. The calibration stage includes online registration of the patient's EEG reactions in response to the illumination of separate letters of the Russian alphabet on the computer screen for 200 msec, corresponding to the detection of the patient's interest in the desired letter, and automatic inclusion of the image of this letter on the screen. The stage of typing a given text consists in the fact that the patient with mental effort, by transfer of attention from letter to letter, types a given word on the screen, without touching the keyboard. Therapeutic sessions are conducted once a day for no more than 1 hour, depending on the patient's well-being, for 10 days.

EFFECT: method allows the rehabilitation of cognitive functions in patients with focal brain lesions due to the technology of brain-computer interfaces (BCI).
