FIELD: mechanical testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical testing and is intended for testing vehicles. The test device contains a base for placing supports with a vehicle on it. Each support consists of a frame, in the upper part of which there is a support platform with a through hole in which a lock is vertically installed, made up of two identical segments and which, when assembled, has the shape of a straight, regular hollow truncated conical figure of height h and bases: upper A and lower B. Cams are rigidly fixed to each segment, through which the lock segments rest on the support platform, while the profile of the support surface of the cams is made in the form of a segment of a circle. Inside the lock, from above, from the side of the base A, a thrust tip is inserted to a depth s, to which a vertical bar adjustable in length is rigidly fixed. The thrust tip itself is made in the form of a regular solid-state truncated conical figure of height h1 and bases A1 and B1. The thrust tip with its outer edges rests on the inner edges of the lock segments. The vertical position of the bar is additionally fixed with a damper, and a retainer is installed on the outer edges of the lock segments from below, from the base side B.
EFFECT: invention ensures the downward movement of the vehicle only under the action of gravity, obtaining accurate data on the nature of the vehicle falling and the reaction of the vehicle's structural elements when exposed to simulated operational factors.
