SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an apparatus (1) for steam-pressing clothes comprised of a first water chamber (2), a second water chamber (3) located in the heel section (4) of the apparatus (1) for steam-pressing clothes, a steam generator (5) located below the first water chamber (2) when the apparatus (1) for steam-pressing clothes is in operating orientation (A). The apparatus (1) for steam-pressing clothes also comprises a first fluid channel (6) connecting the first water chamber (2) and the steam generator (5), a second fluid channel (7) connecting the lower end of the first water chamber (2) and the lower part of the second water chamber (3), and a ventilation tube (10) connected to the upper part of the second water chamber (3) by the first end (11) thereof and open to the environment at the second end (12) thereof. The second end (12) of the ventilation tube (10) at least reaches the height of the maximum water level of the first water chamber (2) when the apparatus (1) for steam-pressing clothes is in non-operating orientation (B). The second water chamber (3) is located above the first water chamber (2) in operating orientation (A) so that the water level height of the second water chamber (3) is greater than the water level height of the first water chamber (2) in said operating orientation (A) in order to increase water pressure in the first fluid channel (6) generated by the fluid connecting the second water chamber (3) and the first water chamber (2) to ensure increased steam flow rate when the apparatus for steam-pressing clothes is in operating orientation (A).
