FIELD: treatment of water.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of purification of natural fresh water from underground and surface sources from compounds of iron, manganese, hardness salts, hydrogen sulphide, organic compounds, and can be used to produce drinking quality water. The method includes treatment of water with hydrogen peroxide with addition of water-soluble titanium compounds, followed by aeration and physical treatment. The dosage of hydrogen peroxide is 3.0 to 5.0 mg/l, the dosage of titanium compounds is 1.0 to 1.5 mg/l. The water is physically treated by means of hydrodynamic cavitation at a flow rate of 23 to 32 m/s in one or two passes through a hydrodynamic cavitator, followed by filtration on a ceramic membrane filter.
EFFECT: invention ensures decreased energy consumption for the process of purification, expanded range of substances removed from the water: iron, dissolved organic substances, etc., and decreased residual concentration of titanium compounds in the purified water.
