FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding and concerns the creation of water-jet propellers for all types of ships and ships. The jet propeller with a vane fairing contains a water conduit made in the form of an axisymmetric profiled annular nozzle, inside which an impeller mounted on a shaft is coaxially located, having a hub with blades fixed on it. A vane fairing is installed behind the impeller, which consists of a hub and a small-diameter vane system. The number of blades in a small diameter vane system is equal to the number of impeller blades. The diameter of the vane system of the vane fairing is 0.7 times the diameter of the impeller. The shape and pitch angles of the blades of the vane fairing are determined depending on the geometry of the impeller and the inhomogeneity of the incoming flow.
EFFECT: improvement of acoustic characteristics while maintaining efficiency, as well as reduction of weight and size characteristics.
