FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely to water-jet propellers, and can be used as a drive for vessels of various purposes to increase efficiency of propulsor and its operability. Water-jet propulsor includes housing, in which there is water duct, propeller shaft with impeller with blades installed on it, and jet nozzle. Blades of impeller envelope by shell, installed in housing with possibility of axial movement and reduction of clearance between blades of impeller and shell.
EFFECT: possibility of adjusting clearance between shell and blades of impeller without disassembling water-jet propulsor and without lifting vessel from water.
