SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of a pharmaceutical composition containing compound I having mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist properties for the treatment of chronic kidney disease in humans at a dose of 0.1 to 1.0 mg of compound I, the use of a pharmaceutical composition for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of chronic kidney disease as well as a method for treating chronic kidney disease in humans.
EFFECT: invention provides safe and effective use of a pharmaceutical composition containing compound I for the treatment of chronic kidney disease in humans, while avoiding elevated serum potassium.
