FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering, in particular to water intake facilities, and can be used for water intake from underground sources in shallow groundwater. In a horizontal water intake structure containing a water intake chute 1 with drainage devices made of gabion mattresses 3 and additional drainage lines 7, in gabion mattresses 3 arranged in rows on top of the water intake chute 1, the drainage filler is made of several layers of geomat and two strings of perforated pipes, laid in layers and wrapped in a geogrid to form a prismatic mattress. As additional lines 7, located on both sides perpendicular to the tray 1 and with a slope to it at a distance from each other, tubular drainages 8 are laid, consisting of perforated pipes 9 with stiffeners 10 and a geomat wrapped around the pipes in two or three layers. Tubular drainages 8 of perforated pipes 9 with stiffening ribs 10 and layers of geomat, wrapped in a gabion mesh, enter the water intake chute 1 on top of its sides. A horizontal water intake structure of a combined design can be most effectively used for reclamation purposes to take water from floodplain and coastal aquifers of small rivers with a groundwater level depth of up to 5 m, hydraulically connected with open water flows of rivers. It is recommended to use it for water intake into irrigation systems of coastal lands of foothill zones.
EFFECT: labor intensity of the construction of the structure is reduced and the efficiency of its work is increased.
