FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering construction, more precisely to water intake structures, and can be used to take water from underground sources with shallow groundwater deposits in the coastal zones of small rivers. In the method for constructing a horizontal water intake structure of a combined design, including a water intake tray 1 with drainage devices made of gabion mattresses 3 and additional drainage lines, in gabion mattresses 3 arranged in rows on top of the water intake tray, the draining aggregate is made of several layers of geomats and two threads of perforated pipes, which are laid in layers and wrapped in a geogrid giving a prismatic shape to the mattress, and as additional lines, located on both sides perpendicular to the tray and with a slope to it at a distance from each other, tubular drains 8 are arranged, which are assembled of perforated pipes 9 with stiffeners 10 and geomats wrapped around pipes 9 in two or three layers. Tubular drains 8 with stiffeners 10 and layers of geomats wrapped around in a mesh shell enter the water intake tray 1 on top of its walls. The method for constructing a horizontal water intake structure of a combined design can be most effectively used for reclamation purposes for water extraction from floodplain and coastal aquifers of small rivers with a depth of the groundwater level up to 5 m, hydraulically connected with open water flows of rivers. It is recommended to use the method for water intake into irrigation systems of coastal lands of foothill zones.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the labor intensity of construction and an increase in work efficiency.
