SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and can be used for breaking blocks from a rock massif, driving roads in mountainous terrain, mining building stone and crystalline raw materials. The device includes a working body in the form of a piston, placed in a borehole filled with a non-Newtonian liquid, and a means for applying a periodic shock load to the piston, made in the form of a guide tube, into which a rod is inserted with the possibility of longitudinal movement and contact with the piston.

The piston is made in the form of a cup, into which a sleeve contacting with its walls is inserted. In the walls of the glass and the sleeve, through longitudinal slots are made. Cup and sleeve are made of elastic material. The through longitudinal slots in the walls of the glass do not coincide with the through longitudinal slots in the sleeve. The base of the glass faces the bar.

EFFECT: invention improves the efficiency of the device.
