FIELD: computing technology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an apparatus for comparing numbers represented in the residue number system, containing inputs of the residues of the first number, wherein is the amount of modules of the residue number system, inputs of the residues of the second number, first number storage registers, second number storage registers, a circuit for determining the sign of the first number, a circuit for determining the sign of the second numbers, an XOR logic element, a sign analysis circuit, a comparison output wherein the inputs of the residues of the first and second numbers are connected with the corresponding storage registers of the first and second numbers, the outputs whereof are connected to the inputs of the corresponding circuits for determining the sign of the first and second numbers, the outputs whereof are connected to the inputs of the XOR logical element, and the output of the sign analysis circuit is the comparison output of the apparatus, wherein the equality verification unit, the adder unit, the difference sign determining circuit are introduced thereto, wherein the outputs of the storage registers of the first number are connected to the first information inputs of the equality verification unit and the adder unit, the outputs of the storage registers of the second number are connected to the second information inputs of the equality verification unit and through inverters to the second information inputs of the adder unit, a logical unit signal is transmitted to the transfer input of the adder unit, the outputs of the adder unit are connected to the inputs of the difference sign determining circuit, the output whereof is connected to the fourth input of the sign analysis circuit, the third input is connected to the output of the XOR logic element, the second input is connected to the output of the equality verification unit, the first and fifth inputs are connected to the circuits for determining the sign of the first and second numbers, respectively.

EFFECT: increase in the speed and accuracy of computation for comparing numbers represented in the residue number system.
