SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering, particularly to data processing devices, and can be used for constructing automation means and functional units of control systems, for analyzing properties of pseudo-random sequence generators of binary numbers, as well as for processing results of physical experiments. Device comprises N bits of input binary number which are divided into N/2 groups by two digits in group, Z stages of elements units, where Z=]log2N[ (] [ - a greater integer), and a unit for generating device flags, wherein the first stage comprises N/2 units of elements of the first type, and each i-th stage, from the second stage to the Z-th stage, contains N/2i units of elements of the second type.
EFFECT: possibility of detecting groups of single and zero bits in binary numbers, as well as simple increase in input information capacity while reducing hardware costs.
