FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a gas distribution technique, namely to gas distribution stations (GDS) and automatic gas distribution stations (AGDS), designed to reduce the pressure of natural gas coming from main or distribution gas pipelines to the required level, followed by gas supply to the gas supply systems of cities, energy , industrial, communal and agricultural facilities, as well as facilities of small and medium-sized settlements on the branches of the main and field gas pipelines. The method of operation of a gas distribution station is characterized by the fact that the gas flow with the initial temperature enters the switching unit equipped with instrumentation, is purified from mechanical impurities and droplet liquid in the gas purification unit with the registration of the main parameters of the gas flow with the corresponding instrumentation. The method is characterized by the fact that the stream of purified gas enters the first reduction stage of the gas reduction unit, passes through a pressure regulator with a heat generator built into its structure, which has the ability to preheat due to its own kinetic energy of the gas flow without external energy sources on the principle of vortex separation of the gas flow, when in this case, the cold component of the gas flow is removed and discharged into the rear flange of the regulator, which allows the heat generator to be heated to a temperature of +40 ... + 50°C, sufficient to prevent freezing of the shut-off and control device, from where, after lowering the gas pressure to the required intermediate value, regulated by the appropriate instrumentation, it enters the second reduction stage, passes in the axial direction through a pilot pressure regulator with a built-in safety shut-off valve, having an accuracy class of 1%, from where it is reduced to the required by the consumer pressure values, enters the gas heating unit for heating, leaves it heated to the design temperature, passes through a set of measuring instruments and devices for the gas flow metering unit, enters the odorization unit to impart a specific smell and is sent to the consumer.
