FIELD: steel production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an installation for the continuous or periodic production of hot-rolled steel strips and sheets with a thickness of 0.6 mm to 50 mm. The installation comprises a machine for continuous casting of thin slabs with compression of the liquid core, followed by an induction heater with the first scissors located between them, and then a rolling mill, followed by a second pair of scissors and an outlet roller with a cooling device and a pusher or pusher/stacker for sheets, and then a third pair of scissors and a set of winders. Between the machine for continuous casting and the first scissors there is a rolling crate for minimal compression, which is made with the possibility to compress the slab thickness from 10% to 20%.
EFFECT: as a result, energy consumption is reduced, the negative impact on the environment is reduced, and productivity is increased.
