FIELD: high-pressure fuel pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for borating parts of plunger pairs of a high-pressure fuel pump. Heating and holding the container with the processed parts and borating charge is carried out. A crucible is used as a container for parts. As a borating charge, a charge of the following composition, wt%: aluminum oxide from 20 to 25, boron carbide from 70 to 75, and sodium hexafluoroaluminate from 3 to 7. Boring charge is poured onto the bottom of the crucible with a layer 15 to 25 mm thick. The workpieces to be processed are placed in the crucible at a distance of 5 to 7 mm to the borating charge without direct contact with it. The crucible with the processed parts is placed in a vacuum oven, which is evacuated to a pressure of 5 to 20 Pa. Heating is carried out at a temperature from 1000°C to 1050°C with exposure for 1.0 to 1.5 hours. Then the furnace is cooled, evacuation is removed, the crucible is removed from the vacuum furnace, after which the parts are removed from the crucible.
EFFECT: increased reliability of fuel equipment components, increased energy efficiency of the production process and reduced its resource intensity.
