FIELD: ammunition recycling.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the disposal of substandard powder or powder with an expired shelf life with the extraction of cellulose nitrates for use in the production of civil products. When processing pyroxylic powders containing a chemical durability stabilizer with trivalent nitrogen, organic additives are extracted with liquid extractants. Pyroxylin powder is loaded into the reactor, and a 10% aqueous solution of aluminum chloride or zinc chloride is poured in. The resulting mixture is stirred for 18 hours at a temperature of 50°C. The precipitate is filtered from the extract, washed with water, dried and analyzed for the residual content of the chemical durability stabilizer. After that, it is sent for the production of civilian products.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to process nitrocellulose pyroxylic powders by extracting organic additives from their composition and separating cellulose nitrates in pure form for their further use in the production of civil products.
