FIELD: controlling.

SUBSTANCE: small-sized gas-dynamic steering apparatus is comprised of a gas generator and a distribution system included in a system of channels, control valves, and drives. The apparatus is located in the nose section of the small-sized SAM and is made within the contours of the missile in form of a separate compartment with a gas generator and a distribution system that is not mechanically connected with the aerodynamic vanes of the missile. The gas generator is the source of the working medium formed by the distribution system into jet streams in a given direction by a command from the onboard equipment of the missile. The controls of the distribution system are driven by independent drives included in the apparatus.

EFFECT: ensured declination of the vertically starting surface-to-air missile (SAM) by azimuth and elevation angle with simultaneous roll stabilisation, control of the SAM in the initial flight phase under conditions of insufficient efficiency of aerodynamic surfaces, increased maneuverability of the SAM in any flight phase.
