SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing equipment, and more specifically to a method and device for simulating the weightlessness of transformable spacecraft systems. The method for simulating the weightlessness of transformable spacecraft systems includes attaching a tethered aerostat to the transformable system. At each stage of simulating the weightlessness of the transformable system, the temperature of the ambient air and the temperature of the gas inside the aerostat are measured. Calculate the amount of gas to be added to or pumped out of the aerostat. Gas is pumped out of the aerostat, first by a vacuum pump into a low-pressure receiver, then by a compressor into a high-pressure receiver. On the electro-pneumatic proportional regulator installed in the gas supply line, the pressure of the gas supplied to the aerostat, calculated by the control device, is set, which is necessary for the rate of change in lift required by the dynamics of the process. A flow meter installed after the proportional regulator in the gas supply line controls the amount of gas supplied to or pumped out of the aerostat.

EFFECT: reduction of accidents is achieved.
