SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to psychotherapy, and can be used to remove extremal professions and sportsmen from depressions. Initially, patients are treated with psychotherapy combined with using preparations that intensify pathological pseudo-positive associations associated with using a certain psychoactive substance and manifesting a neurotic ritual. Above is combined with intensive breathing associated with four-phase inhalation and a single exhalation. It is also combined with a complex of actions selected from the following groups: point manual exposure on bones on wrists, elbows, on shoulder, use of switching off and switching on light, silence, loud music, light stimulation, closed eyes, use of eyeglasses with audiovisual stimulation and stroboscopes, exposure of acupuncture needle in combination with exposure for 0.5 seconds of electric current discharge of 6 volts, immersion of patient in hypnosis, use of video and audio information. That is followed by drug-assisted averse reaction to the use of a certain psychoactive substance and neurotic ritual. Reinforced pathological dominant is destroyed and a new adaptive stereotype of behavioral reactions is formed in its place.

EFFECT: method enables high-effective short-term treatment of a more pronounced and stable therapeutic effect in depressive states, narcological "masks" of depressive states, panic states and neurotic disorders ensured by an optimal technique of psychotherapy combined with intensive breathing and a complex of actions.
