FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a balancing shaft system in a two-cylinder four-stroke engine. In the system of balancing shafts of a two-cylinder four-stroke engine, both coaxially mounted balancing shafts located on one side of the crankshaft have opposite directions of rotation, the same rotation frequency, in the zone of passage of the connecting rod head on each of the balancing shafts, a longitudinal-transverse cut is made, the inner edge of which in the cross section for the first balancing shaft is made at an angle from 1 to 15 degrees from the vertical, the angle is determined in the opposite direction of rotation of the first balancing shaft, for the second balancing shaft, the inner edge of the cut in the cross section is made at an angle from 1 to 20 degrees from the vertical, the angle is determined by the direction of rotation of the second balancing shaft. In accordance with the first variant, the counterweight of the first balancing shaft is installed in front of the sliding bearing connecting the end of the first balancing shaft made in the form of a support and the end of the second balancing shaft made in the form of a support, the end of the first balancing shaft enters the connecting sliding bearing by half the thickness of the bearing. In accordance with the second option, the counterweight of the first balancing shaft is mounted cantilevered at the end of the shaft itself in front of the sliding bearing, made in the form of a support at the end of the second balancing shaft.
EFFECT: reducing in the vibration load on the two-cylinder four-stroke engine, the chassis of the vehicle, the housing of the power plant (such as a fire pump, generator), minimizing the dimensions and weight of the engine, increasing the service life of the engine as a whole.
