FIELD: gas purification.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of purification of gaseous media from finely dispersed solid particles, aerosol resinous suspended particles, vapours of polluting liquids and other inclusions harmful to the environment, and can be used in energy, chemical, metallurgical and other branches of industry. The filter for purification of a gaseous medium is comprised of a cylindrical body with branch pipes for intake and outtake of gas. Filtering elements are installed inside the body. A shaft with filtering elements in form of circular brushes installed thereon is located inside the body along the axis thereof. A retainer element is attached on the inner surface in the lower part of the body along the generatrix thereof for contact with the bristles of the circular brushes. A settling reservoir is connected to the body in the lower part thereof, located along the generatrix of the inner surface of the body after the retainer element in the direction of rotation of the circular brushes. The method for purification of a gaseous medium using the proposed filter consists in the fact that a cleaning liquid is poured into the horizontally located body forming a liquid bath so that part of the bristles of each circular brush is located in the liquid bath. The shaft with the circular brushes installed thereon is rotated forming a liquid film on the bristles of each brush located above the level of the cleaning liquid. A polluted gas medium is fed into the intake branch pipe, passing above the cleaning liquid oil level through the bristles with the liquid film of each brush. The purified gaseous medium is discharged through the outtake branch pipe after passing through the bristles with the liquid film of all circular brushes.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides increased degree of purification, expanded range of aggregate states of the polluting factors, increased efficiency of gas purification and increased duration of the required productivity of the filter.
