FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions is intended for application in the field of radio electronic systems and complexes for navigation and guidance, namely, for use of anechoic shielded chambers reproducing the conditions of propagation of electromagnetic waves in free space. The method for determining the anechoic coefficient in a radio frequency anechoic chamber is based on using the pulse method, the substance whereof consists in emitting, receiving and processing broadband signals in the time and frequency domain using direct and reverse Fourier transforms. The apparatus for determining the anechoic coefficient in a radio frequency anechoic chamber is comprised of an emitting antenna and a passive broadband antenna located in the anechoic chamber, and a pulse generator, an oscillograph, a personal computer, on the basis whereof the module for implementation of determining the anechoic coefficient is implemented, located in a specialised compartment outside of the anechoic chamber.
EFFECT: improved accuracy and increased dynamic range of measurement of the anechoic coefficient.
