SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for monitoring oral hygiene. The oral hygiene system for monitoring compliance with the oral hygiene mode contains an oral hygiene device containing a handle and a head, an optical sensor, memory, including a machine-readable medium containing machine-executable code, on which commands are stored to perform a method for recognizing specific actions of the oral hygiene device, and a memory-related control system containing one or more memory-related processors. The control system is configured to execute machine-executable code to force one or more processors to accept data output by the optical sensor, as well as process data output by the optical sensor using a machine learning model to determine the specific action of the oral hygiene device. The specific action includes the type of brush movement used in each area of the user’s mouth, and the position of the head of the oral hygiene device in the user’s mouth. The control system is also configured to output data indicating the determined specific action, and ensure that the first mobile device displays the dentition diagram for the user, including the amount of time spent cleaning each area of the user’s mouth, and the type of brush movement used in each area of the user’s mouth.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the compliance of the user’s actions for brushing teeth with oral hygiene in the modes recommended by dentists, to control the use of oral hygiene devices and to provide electronic feedback to increase compliance with the recommendations.
