SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tools used in broaching machines, in particular to a broach called an external broach, which can be used for rough mechanical processing and for finishing works. The broach for the broaching machine contains a toothed plate (4) with hard-alloy teeth formed of one or more sections located in a longitudinal relationship, and a holder (3) in which the toothed plate (4) is installed. The holder (3) has a groove in which the base (4.1) of the toothed plate (4) is inserted by matching the shape to create a mechanical connection between them. In addition, the holder (3) contains tightening means (6) for fixing the toothed plate (4) in the holder (3) in the desired position.
EFFECT: deformations and stresses of the broach are weakened during operation and the service life of the broach is increased.
