SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction and can be used to determine the subsidence of permafrost soils during their thawing. A device for determining the thawing coefficient of permafrost soils, including a pit with an area of A, m2, assigned depending on the depth h2, m, determining the thawing coefficient, the coefficient of lateral pressure of thawed soil ξ, the angle of internal friction ϕ, deg., of thawed soil according to the above formula, with a completely isolated soil column with an area of A, m2, separated from the surrounding soil by drilled and closely placed wells. Along the perimeter of the pit, to the depth of the lower boundary of the subsidence soil, slots are made in the form of cracks by drilling boreholes, and anti-filtration and anti-friction curtains are built into the slots by filling the cracks with a waterproofing anti-friction material that excludes soaking of the surrounding soils. Deep and surface marks are installed inside the pit to determine the subsidence of thawed soil in depth and on the surface, in addition, heating and thermometric wells are made in the middle part of the bottom of the reduced pit, and at least one thermometric well is made outside the pit.
EFFECT: ensuring a reduction in the duration and cost of determining the thawing coefficient, increasing the accuracy of determining the thawing coefficient of frozen soil, from the influence of its own weight.
