FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reinforcement of thawed soil located at the base of road bed of railways and motor roads, civil and industrial buildings and structures during their operation, repair and reconstruction for improvement of strength and deformation characteristics and maintenance in stable condition of permafrost soils of base. Method of reinforcing thaw zones of the base of the roadbed consists in placing seasonal cooling devices in the soil, at that, at the first stage, leader wells are drilled to the lower boundary of the roof of permafrost in the thaw zone, at the second stage, hardening water-cement mortar is supplied by means of injectors immersion into soil, which provides compaction of thawed soil of the embankment base, with formation of a compacted soil massif, at the third stage, after removal of the injector from the well, before setting of the solution, seasonally operating cooling devices are immersed in the formed leader well with their embedding into the compacted soil mass with formation of a soil-cement element with subsequent gain of its design strength.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of heat exchange.
