SUBSTANCE: object of the invention is a transmission device for transmitting and a method for transmitting rod-shaped tobacco products, as well as a device for converting the flow configuration of such products. This task concerns, in particular, such rods, the production of which requires the placement of short segments at different distances on a conveyor. The transmission device for transmitting flow of rod-shaped products from a device feeding rod-shaped products to a device receiving rod-shaped products in tobacco industry machines, while in the feeding device, rod-shaped products are transported in the first flow of rod-shaped products, in which rod-shaped products are located in the first configuration, and in the receiving device, rod-shaped products are transported in the second flow of rod-shaped products, in which rod-shaped products are located in the second configuration, contains: a gear wheel; non-sliding protrusions placed on the circumference of the gear wheel; a guide surface for directing the rod-shaped product, wherein rod-shaped products are transported axially, tangentially to the guide surface, wherein a sliding protrusion can slide relatively to the circumference of the gear wheel by means of a drive mechanism, so that the mentioned sliding protrusion changes its position relatively to the adjacent non-sliding protrusion.
EFFECT: invention solves the problem of creating a device for transmitting rod-shaped products and a device for converting the flow configuration of rod-shaped products, in which the risk of manufacturing defective rods is eliminated.
