FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing a multimodal polyolefine by means of multi-stage polymerisation. The method includes: polymerising a bimodal high molecular weight polymer in a first reactor by supplying a monomer in the presence of a catalyst composition including two or more different catalysts; and continuously supplying the high molecular weight bimodal polymer produced in the first reactor to the second reactor and polymerising the low molecular weight bimodal polymer by supplying the monomer in the presence of the catalyst composition. The multimodal polyolefine simultaneously includes a bimodal polymer with high molecular weight and a bimodal polymer with low molecular weight. The bimodal polymer with high molecular weight, produced in the first reactor, has two peaks corresponding with different molecular weights, wherein the right peak is higher than the left peak. The bimodal polymer with low molecular weight, produced in the second reactor, also has two peaks corresponding with different molecular weights, wherein the left peak is higher than the right peak.
EFFECT: development of a method for producing multimodal polyolefine by means of multi-stage continuous polymerisation, wherein the polyolefine exhibits increased melt strength, improved moulding capacity, mechanical strength, processability and improved appearance.
