FIELD: separating solids from solids.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to apparatuses for separating bulk materials by size and can be used in coke and chemical, coal, power and other branches of industry. The apparatus for separating bulk materials with automatic tensioning of tow chains of the conveyor includes a body, a loading hopper with a feeder, two separating grids installed along the body of the apparatus with a gap relative to each other, equipped with overflow thresholds on both sides thereof, scraper conveyors with a drive and tensioning apparatuses, hoppers for small- and large-sized products, an apparatus for supplying air under the separation grids. Overflow thresholds are connected with apparatuses providing a change in the angle of inclination thereof and adjustment of the height. The drive of the scraper conveyors is equipped with a hydraulic coupling. The tensioning apparatus of the scraper conveyors is located outside of the bulk material loading area. Deflecting rollers are installed in the area for lifting the scraper conveyors to the hopper for the large-sized product. The conveyors are equipped with apparatuses for tensioning the upper branches of the tow chains in the automatic mode, which is achieved by the fact that roller blocks are installed in the middle part between the axes of the drive shaft of the sprockets and the tensioning shafts of the scraper conveyors. The roller block contains a bracket consisting of two levers rigidly coupled with each other, wherein two holes are made on one side of said bracket on the console for installation thereof on the axis of the body of the apparatus, rollers are installed on the axes on the other side for rolling interaction with the upper branches of the tow chains over the lower surfaces of the chains. Rods are installed hingedly on both sides on the bracket in the area of the rollers with a bar extending to the top of the body of the apparatus, attached whereto through blocks of stands installed on supports is a rope with weights for tensioning the tow chains.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the reliability and efficiency of scraper conveyors, an increase in the operating life of the tow chains of the conveyor, a reduction in the amount of stops of the apparatus, and an increase in the efficiency of separation of bulk materials.
