FIELD: woodworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of woodworking, in particular to impregnation of wood with fire-protective, bioprotective, and modifying liquids. Channels inclined at an angle of 45° to 60° to the surface of the wood in the tangential direction, used for deep penetration of the impregnating into the wood, are created using a laser. The diameter of the channels therein is comparable to the size of the anatomical cavities of the wood itself.
EFFECT: quality of wood impregnation is improved, efficiency of the impregnation process is increased, while the strength of the material is reduced minimally.
