SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry, specifically to devices for sampling liquids in tanks. Disclosed is a liquid sampler, which includes a hollow, top-muffled container with cargo and process cables, the bottom of which is equipped with a valve with a lid rotatable around the loop and a locking mechanism. The lid is installed in the container with the possibility of opening inward, and the locking mechanism is made in the form of a ball made with the possibility of supporting on the lid from above and moving longitudinally in a cylindrical guide plugged from above, which is located at a distance less than half the diameter of the ball from the lid, and rigidly connected to the inner walls of the container by jumpers, and the technological cable is made with the possibility of connecting to the container outside and below its center of gravity, from the side opposite to the location of the lid hinge.

EFFECT: invention allows taking accurate liquid samples at the required depth even with its layered heterogeneity.
