FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the field of desalination of seawater and can be used in agriculture, various industries, in housing and municipal services in the sea coast areas. The installation consists of a cold seawater intake device, including a pump connected to a heat exchanger located in a condensation chamber equipped with a fan. The device is a watercraft in the form of a displacement hull with a deck and a bottom, between which a second deck is introduced, made with a perforation along its length, forming a condensation chamber in the form of a through tunnel with the first one and the walls of the hull. The tunnel is blocked at one end by the impeller of at least one fan. On the first deck, a pump is mounted, connected to the heat exchanger in the form of a set of rows of pipes placed in the tunnel along its length and brought out into the outer space. The volume of the hull, located under the second deck, is intended for collecting condensate. The air is taken directly above the sea surface from the layer adjacent to it.
EFFECT: production of fresh water from water vapor taken directly above the sea surface, on industrial scale.
