SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to operative gynecology. During surgical treatment of the middle and/or upper rectocele with vaginal access, the mucosa of the middle and upper third of the posterior vaginal wall is dissected longitudinally in the middle and separated from the anterior wall of the rectum with the exposure of the rectovaginal fascia. The posterior lip of the cervix is lowered, pulling the sacro-uterine ligaments. Each sacro-uterine ligament is stitched with a separate suture with a non-absorbable thread with the capture of the rectovaginal fascia, restoring the fascial layer between the walls of the vagina and rectum at the level of the upper and middle third of the vagina. Then the restored fascial layer is covered with a muscle layer, stitching together the bundles of muscles that raise the anus, located to the left and right of the rectum. At the same time, 1 cm of muscle tissue is captured in the suture on each side and three separate vicryl sutures are applied so that the suture line is located along the rectum, and the distance between the sutures is 2.0 cm.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reliably correct the average and high rectocele, reduce the number of relapses of prolapse by performing plastic surgery of the posterior vaginal wall with the reconstruction of the rectovaginal septum by performing an intervention without the use of synthetic materials.
