SUBSTANCE: animals were fed 2.5 g of chitosan with ultrafine silver particles at a dose of 0.05 mg/kg of live weight 7 days prior to exposure to the stress factor, allowing to reduce product losses by 1.8%, increase the carcass weight by 4.3%, increase the cooking and processing indicator by 9.1% and the protein and quality indicator by 4.1%.

EFFECT: invention allows preserving quality of meat products and reducing losses thereof caused by stress.
