SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, in particular, to devices for regulating and maintaining gas pressure - gas regulators, gas reducers. The invention can be used to lower and maintain a constant gas pressure in industry, energy, medicine and other fields. The gas pressure regulator includes a housing with a high (inlet) pressure gas channel, in which a reducing valve with a pusher is located, and a low (outlet) pressure gas channel, a sensing element, a piston-compensator housing, with a high (inlet) pressure gas channel, in which the compensator piston and the driving device are located, while the valve and the compensator piston are located on the same axis in an opposite way.
EFFECT: improving characteristics of the regulator, in particular, eliminating the static regulation error, while maintaining the ability to provide high gas flow rates and a high reduction coefficient, increasing the fault tolerance during overcooling of the regulator parts, increasing safety in emergency situations.
