FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical technology and can be used in the production of elemental arsenic and its compounds. In the method for producing arsenic acid, hydrolyzed sodium arsenite is calcinated at a temperature of 480-550°C to a constant mass. The product is treated with an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide with a concentration of 30-60%. Concentrated hydrochloric acid is added to the resulting solution and sodium chloride is filtered out.
EFFECT: invention provides the production of arsenic acid, purified from organic impurities, which is in demand in the electrochemical production of arsine.
