FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. The device for heating a thermoplastic material during the blocking the tooth channel includes a housing with a heated working part made in the form of a pair of bodies made of metals and/or alloys with different specific electrical conductivity and soldering their ends with the possibility of heating. One of the bodies is a rigid body, and the other is a conductor placed in isolation from the rigid body, while both bodies are included in a two-wire electrical circuit that simultaneously performs the functions of heating the junction and measuring the thermal EMF value proportional to the current junction temperature, for which both bodies are connected with free ends to a means for measuring thermal EMF, the value of which depends on the junction temperature. During the time interval of measurement, when the electric power supply key to the junction is switched off, the current value of the thermal EMF in the junction is measured, proportional to the current temperature of the junction point, and these time intervals are alternately repeated in compliance with the necessary frequency of measuring the thermal EMF and supplying portions of electric energy to heat the junction to a given temperature with a given rate of its increase and stabilization of a given temperature.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the risk of overheating of the periodontal and increase the operating time of the thermo-plugger by preventing repeated overheating of its heated working part.
