FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device for determining reaction capacity of gaseous and condensed products is based on use of the Seebeck effect, which is realised by a main 1 and a comparative 3 platinum-rhodium - platinum thermocouple, wherein for the comparative thermocouple, the hot junction is insulated by a heat-resistant passivating compound 4. The device also employs an electric measurement bridge in which the arms are thermoelectrodes of thermocouples, and a thermo-emf measuring device 6 is built-in between them. The bridge serves to compare signals coming from the thermocouples, where the platinum-rhodium in the local region of the hot junction of the thermocouple 1 accelerates chemical reactions by converting chemical activity of the medium into an electrical signal. The difference between signals from thermocouples 1 and 3 is measured by the thermo-emf measuring device 6.

EFFECT: high measurement accuracy and reliability, broader functional capabilities of the device.
