SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the base of a mop with a locking apparatus and a cleaning attachment. The proposed base 1 of a mop with a locking apparatus 4 and a cleaning attachment with bars 3. The locking apparatus 4 is connected to the base of the mop, fixed on the base, and has the shape of a rotated “U”, or an open “C”, the lower horizontal part thereof is rigidly fixed on the base 1 and creates a slot-like seat 8 on the transverse side of the cleaning attachment, where the locking apparatus is located. The locking apparatus configured as a slot-type seat for the bar of the cleaning attachment, located on the transverse side thereof, is open for the input side of the bar and is called a jaw; the input whereof slightly exceeds the size of the bar, allowing the bar to enter the slot-type seat easily and freely through the jaw, wherein the seat in the form of a rotated U or an open C covers a part of the expansion of the bar along the edge of connection with the mop with the upper horizontal part thereof, limiting the corresponding movements thereof perpendicular to the direction entrance of the bar into the apparatus.

EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of preventing unintentional detachment of the bars on the cleaning attachment connected with the base, which is necessary for the attachment to remain in place during the cleaning operations.
