SUBSTANCE: improved mop base, in which both surfaces of a standard header can be used, arranged parallel to each other, comprises a frame consisting of two half-frames, basically flat, fastened pivotally around its central portion along the common horizontal axis and able to fix the free edge of the header in the gripping throat, which consists of a pair of longitudinal ribs arranged on the same side of each half-frame; the said kinematic system of the subject of invention may take two positions, the first of which is a closed position in which the said gripping device of the throat fixes the header, and the second position is open - the gripping device is open, and two half-frames in the closed and stable position are located so that their larger outer surfaces are parallel.
EFFECT: improvement of the design.
