FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal processing by pressure; it can be used when connecting sheet parts into a package. Opposite connections are performed on both sides of a package of sheet parts by pushing through using a permanent matrix. Bulges are formed in the area bounded by a matrix groove. In addition, recessions are formed in the area non-bounded by the matrix groove by metal pressure from the bottom of a cavity to a spring part of a floating punch package. In the punch package, a plate of its middle part is made of high-speed steel, and plates of the extreme parts are made of spring steel. The size, taking into account the cross-sectional tolerances of the punch package in the initial position, and the size, taking into account the cross-sectional tolerances of the permanent matrix and two grooves cut into the device case on both sides of the matrix groove, are equal to each other.
EFFECT: strength of the resulting joint of sheet parts is increased.
