FIELD: chemical industry
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to improved method for producing monochloroacetic acid (MCA) and can be used in chemical industry. MCA is a valuable product for production of carboxymethylcellulose, various pesticides and medicines. Method for producing monochloroacetic acid (MCA) is carried out in a mixed-type hydrothermal chlorination reactor with integrated serpentine-type heat exchangers at reduced pressure and temperature. The method includes chlorination with catalyst in a mixed-type hydrothermal chlorination reactor of acetic acid with built-in serpentine-type heat exchangers at reduced pressure and temperature, distillation to obtain marketable MCA, chlorination is performed from a temperature of 20°C to a temperature of 125°C in two sequentially arranged mixed-type hydrothermal chlorination reactors of acetic acid with built-in serpentine-type heat exchangers, at the same time, each reactor is equipped with a combination of internal devices and built-in heat exchangers capable to create conditions for chlorination starting at a temperature of 20°C, while acetic acid is supplied into each reactor sequentially, and chlorine and catalyst are supplied in parallel. The technical problem is to obtain MCA in improved hydrothermal chlorination reactor of acetic acid of mixed type with integrated serpentine-type heat exchangers at reduced pressure and temperature.
EFFECT: invention reduces consumption rate of reagents.
