FIELD: cooling devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for cooling a server rack in a server room. The device contains: a main cooling unit and a heat exchange unit connected with the possibility of interaction. The main cooling unit includes a case for placing: an evaporator, the first transition device for removable attachment of the main cooling unit to the server rack from the side of the first chamber of the server room, the first fan made with the possibility of pumping air from the first chamber into the second chamber of the server room. The heat exchange unit includes a case for placing: a condenser made with the possibility of transferring heat from a liquid cooler to the air surrounding the condenser and communicating through fluid with the evaporator, the second transition device made with the possibility of removable attachment of the heat exchange unit to the second chamber, the second fan made with the possibility of pumping heated air into the second chamber.
EFFECT: creation of an improved method and system for controlling the air flow for cooling the server rack, increasing the efficiency of cooling the server rack and thereby improving energy consumption and reducing the computational load on control systems.
