SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of passive refrigeration systems for use in cooling perishable products during transportation and storage. A passive refrigerator box for controlled cooling of a product contains an external box including an external insulation layer, an internal box including an internal insulation layer, and a heat shield on the outer side of the internal insulation layer, and a thermal link including a heat layer and a set of heat pipes or a set of thermosyphons. The internal box and the external box form a steam channel between them. The heat layer and the upper section of the internal box form a refrigerant chamber. The refrigerant chamber includes a means of access to the refrigerant chamber and communicates with the steam channel. The heat layer and the lower section of the internal box form a cargo chamber. The cargo chamber includes a means of access to the cargo chamber. Each heat pipe or thermosiphon has a condenser section located in the refrigerant chamber and an evaporator section located in the cargo chamber and continuing through the heat layer. The method for passive cargo cooling using a refrigerator box includes stages, at which the cargo is loaded into the cargo chamber, and the refrigerant chamber is charged with solid refrigerant.

EFFECT: delivery and storage of cargo is provided at various selected and controlled temperatures.
