FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing thermoplastic non-woven material based on micro- and nanofibers of aromatic polyimides; it can be used in the production of materials for filtering hot liquid and gaseous aggressive media, separation membranes, for the production of carbon nanofibers, as matrices for cellular technologies. The specified method includes the synthesis of polyamide acid by polycondensation of dianhydride of 3,3',4,4'-diphenyl oxide tetracarboxylic acid or dianhydride of 1,3-bis(3',4-dicarboxyphenoxy)benzene and 4,4'-bis(4'-aminophenoxy)diphenyl sulfone or 4,4'-bis(4'-aminophenoxy)diphenyl in an aprotic solvent, precipitation of polyamide acid into water, treatment with an aqueous solution of triethylamine or ammonia to obtain polyamide acid salt, preparation of an aqueous alcohol solution of polyamide acid salt with a concentration of 5-10 wt.% and supply of the solution through an electrode die to an electric field with a voltage of 10-20 kV, then, material deposited on a receiving electrode is processed at a temperature of 200-250°C for 30-60 min. The resulting product is non-woven material consisting of micro- and nanofibers of aromatic thermoplastic polyetherimide with a diameter of 150 - 1000 nm with a decomposition temperature in an inert medium of 510-530°C and a glass transition temperature of 217-230°C.

EFFECT: specified method makes it possible to obtain thermoplastic non-woven material based on micro- and nanofibers of aromatic polyetherimide by electroforming less energy-consuming and without environmental stress.
