SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sanitary devices. The bathtub, in particular a shower tray, mainly made of enameled steel, contains a bottom with a drain hole made in the bottom and an annular flange made separately from the bathtub, which has a connecting surface. The flange is located on the lower side of the bathtub bottom, and it surrounds the drain hole. The drain hole is provided with a plug that restricts an enveloping inlet slot with the drain hole. The flange is watertight connected to the lower side of the bathtub without a connecting mating element adjacent to the upper side of the bathtub bottom. The flange is connected to a drain case of a drain valve or is designed for a detachable connection with the drain case of the drain valve. The bathtub in the edge zone annularly surrounding the drain hole, passing from the drain hole in the direction from it, has no enveloping embossing. The edge zone has an enveloping or radial edge width in the range of 10-80 mm.

EFFECT: easily manufactured moisture-proof connection of the drain valve to the drain hole of the bathtub is provided.
