FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, namely to mechanisms for retaining missiles placed in a container. The mechanism for retaining a missile in the container consists of a split spring ring installed in a radial groove made on the cylindrical surface of the body of a multi-nozzle rocket engine. The mechanism also comprises a gate installed on the end surface of the engine so as to cover at least one nozzle. A diaphragm with an annular groove on the inner surface thereof is coupled with the container so that the annular groove interacts with the inclined surface of the split spring ring. A stopper in the form of a double-sided wedge directed towards the engine is also installed between the ends of the split spring ring.
EFFECT: reduction in the initial disturbance of the container when launching the missile.
