FIELD: weather forecasting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of forecasting weather conditions. A method for generating a weather forecast is claimed, which is implemented by a server containing a processor capable of performing a machine learning algorithm (hereinafter – MLA). The method includes: receiving satellite data for some geographical region by MLA algorithm during some period of time; forming a 3D rainfall map for the given geographical region by MLA algorithm based on satellite data; forming a forecast for the given period of time and the given geographical region by MLA algorithm based on 3D rainfall map. MLA algorithm is educated based on a forecast from another MLA algorithm (based on weather radar data) and satellite data.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of the weather forecast.
