FIELD: water softening, desalination and desalination.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for softening, desalination and desalination of natural and waste water by reverse osmosis. The method for recycling the concentrate of reverse osmosis desalination units of saline water is characterized by the fact that the original saline water is fed with a high-pressure pump to a reverse osmosis apparatus with a roll-on membrane element, the resulting concentrate enters the concentrate collection tank, which is a tank of initial water of the second stage, from which the concentrate is fed by a pump of the second stage to the membrane apparatus of the second stage, made in the form of a nanofiltration module, the concentrate from which is sent to settling reactors, in which seed crystals of calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide are located, then the concentrate is sent into the tank of initial water of the second stage and then again into the membrane apparatus of the second stage, carrying out the circulation mode of operation of the apparatus of the second stage, after which the concentrate is again sent to the settling reactors, while the permeate of the second stage apparatus is returned to the inlet of the high-pressure pump and mixed with the source water. The installation includes control valves, caustic soda dispenser, standing water tanks, pumps for supplying separated water to source water, valves for discharging sludge from sedimentation tanks.

EFFECT: reduction of concentrate consumption, its utilization, elimination of saline effluent discharge into the environment, increase of efficiency and reliability of reverse osmosis desalination of saline water.
