SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, device and information carrier for the formation of an XBRL instance. In the method, a group of records is obtained, in a process in which a completed input table, including a set of ordered records, is converted into an instance in the commercial reporting language (XBRL) according to the format specified by the XBRL taxonomy, in which each record includes a set of element values or a set of chains of element symbols associated with a set of elements from the completed input table; the first record and the second record are speicified, each of which has one or more element values or one or more character chains in the order of the mentioned set of elements, among the records included in the resulting group of records; in the case when the value of the element associated with the first element included in the first record differs from the value of the element associated with the first element included in the second record, the value of the element associated with the second element included in the first record is normalized, as well as the keyword that was registered in the transformation definition for the XBRL taxonomy in advance; the coincidence whether or not the normalized value of the element coincides with the normalized keyword is determined; the first record is evaluated, which is a record that serves as a break in a group of records, in the case when the normalized value of an element coincides with a keyword; the conversion process with respect to the mentioned one or more values of elements or one or more chains of characters of the first record is performed using the conversion definition; and the converted value is added to the XBRL instance.
